POSITION: Software Engineering Manager - Ho Chi Minh ($2000 - $4000)
   

THE POSITION:
- MetaDefender, Advanced Threat Prevention Platform, is a cyber security platform for preventing and detecting cyber security threats on multiple data channels. MetaDefender protects organizations from cyber security threats in data that originates from a variety of sources, such as web, email, portable media, and endpoints. MetaDefender is used by many global leading organizations to protect their critical infrastructure and secure their data workflows
- We are looking for Software Engineering Managers working on different projects of MetaDefender, the MetaDefender Cloud and MetaDefender Core Framework. The Software Engineering Manager will play an important role in building what will become the #1 security platform in the world. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker and self-starter who can drive execution and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with efficiency and effectiveness. The candidate will work with multiple teams while delivering on aggressive deadlines. We are looking for candidates that can demonstrate vision and strategy, well-honed ability in creating next generation technology and a high bar for design quality.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
- Drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with many cross functional teams, architects, product owners and engineer
- Work with Product Management team to define and deliver a rapidly scaling product base on priorities from operational and strategic levels
- Make critical decisions that attribute to the success of the product
- Proactive in foreseeing issues and resolve it before it happens
- Partner with PO to align with objectives, priorities, tradeoffs and risk
- Work with a wide range of technologies
- Work on a live production environment while maintaining 99.99% uptime
- Independently track down and solve flaws in functionality
- Be a multiplier and have a passion for team and team members’ success. Maintaining high morale and motivating the delivery team to go above and beyond
- Implement and lead the career path development for team members
- Facilitate communication throughout the development process between a variety of internal teams as well as customer-facing teams, ensuring that products satisfy customers' needs and are highly adopted
- Use your expertise to train and mentor junior members of the team
   
REQUIREMENTS:   
- 5+ years’ experience leading a technology focused organization, software development experience is preferred
- Proven track record working with global development, Product Management and support organizations
- Experience with short release cycles, the full software lifecycle, and experience working on a product that’s been released for public consumption
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and project management to understand requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
- Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices including coding standards, code reviews, build processes, testing, and operations
- Ability to mentor engineers and help them arrive at the optimal solution
- Experience with REST API utilization and SDK integration
- Comfortable with bash, Linux and Docker
- Familiarity with Git and branching models
- Familiarity configuring & using CI / CD
- Experience with AWS
- Good command of English
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational and time management skills
- For Manager position of MetaDefender Cloud

•    Programming skills in JavaScript, HTML 5 and CSS
•    Experienced in many JavaScript frontend frameworks (such as Angular, React, Bootstrap)
•    Programming in NodeJS, learning from and contributing to a team committed to continually improving their skills
•    Good understanding of RESTful web services
•    Experience with both NoSQL and in-memory databases (mongodb, Redis)
•    Previous work on live production environments with high traffic


- For Manager Position Of MetaDefender Core Framework

•    Experience with C++ in Windows/ Linux development environment
•    Experience with Qt framework
•    Object-oriented design & programming skills in multi-threaded applications

- Nice to have

•    Good understanding of Web Security & standards (e.g., Web penetration testing, xss)
•    Previous scripting language experience (Python is a plus)
•    Previous experience with running and maintaining big data systems (Elasticsearch, Hive, pyspark)
•    Experience operating and maintaining production systems in a Linux and public cloud environment
•    Familiar with infrastructure management concepts and ecosystem
•    Experience with Jira, Confluence
•    Cyber security domain experience/ knowledge, including file security, device security, network security and etc.
